Simplicity is King!

Well its been a little while since my last post... I have been really busy! WHAT! ya its true... I know the post subject says " Simplicity is king! " .... but hey, it has opened my eyes to the Joy of simplifying my life too ;)

I would like to start out with a little quote, saying, thingsmabob.

I heard it from a pastor at a small church near my town.

" Everytime you say YES to something, You are saying NO to something else "

Can you guess what I thought right after I heard that? eh, not much. But man, after a few minutes it just stuck in my head. I don't know, like some place in my head was created just to store that one thought... Weird eh?... well anyways take a second and ponder on that thought then read on.

I feal like this message, yet simple is really for some people out there who need a change pretty quick before so many Wrong Yes's and No's turns in to UH OH'S. (lol sounds like a diaper commercial or something)

OK, getting into the meat of this now. I feel like some people gradually clutter their lives with so much little, small negative things that eventually it makes it so so diffilcult to remain postive!

They will start feeling bagged, bogged, wieghed down or however you want to say it. ( point, It brings them down)

I think this happens so easy. Even when you trying to do so much good things it can still drive you Insane! I mean you want to help out in so many ways. You book your days and weeks jammed packed with no extra time, get overwelmed, look back and say

" man, I thought everyone one of those were good ideas "

I guess that kinda goes back to the, Say yes to one thing, you say no to another!

You know what that does when you think about it. If you figure out what saying Yes to something does to something else it can help you make better decisions. It also leaves room for prayer and guidance from God. Lets start simple to get the concept.

_ If you say Yes to sleeping in right until you have to get up and leave for work.

_ Then you are saying NO to taking a shower first!

+ If you say Yes to hanging out with your friends on your aniversary.

+ Then you are saying NO to your wife!

? Which is more important! Get the idea ;)

Its not always easy saying yes to the right things! But let me quote a few sayings from someone I have used in alot of these posts.

(Dr. Mike Murdoc)

" Your focus Decides your feelings "

" When your heart decides the destination, your mind will design the map to reach it "

" What you are willing to walk away from, determines what God will bring to you "

^^^^^^^^^ I like that one ^^^^^^^^^^

I think we live in a world that is always preaching at us MORE IS BETTER! DO MORE! sometimes More is NOT better. For the young people reading this. What does 90% of you like to do to fill up time!

Well 95% of girls love to go to the mall and shop and 90% guys like to go to the mall and watch the girls shop! ha

Every day we are being told that unless you buy this product or eat at this restaurant, you're not really happy. Weve grown up in a culture that says having more means being happier. Thats not true!

Luke 12:15 "A persons life does not consist of the abundance of possessions." Thats not where youre really going to find fulfillment and happiness.

I know I have been jumping around all types pf places. But the Lord has really layed alot on my heart and its hard sometimes to get it all out right in a clear way. I hope you can hear my heart here.

Here is a scripture I think totally supports this idea.

(thank you biblegateway.com)

Matthew 6:25-33

Do Not Worry

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[a]?

28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

What is a simple life. Here is some ideas in my oppinion about simplicity but you may have your own.

The point of simplicity is to seek first the kingdom of God and the righteousness of God, and then everything else will come in its proper order. Everything we do should be puting God first. Nothing must come before God. A life of simplicity is to not have so much needyness (if thats a word) about material things.

A life of simplicity is to use what wealth you have for God..)

Love ya'll. I do hope this has helped someone whenever you read this. I do enjoy reading the e-mails and comments on these posts. Even though I can't get back to all of them sometimes I do read them and they mean alot.

You can read these and more @ www.myspace.com/chizel21

cut...cut... "How to please everyone" (ha) ....take 3...1.0

First off I wanted to say sorry for taking so long since my last post. I am guessing some of you are confused about the title of this post. Let me clear it up for ya a little.

I have actually tried posting this on two seperate occasions. I typed the whole topic almost to the end and then the computer froze. You would think after the first time that happened I would learn to copy and save as I go. So I think I might try that this time ;)

Q. How do I please everyone?
A. U can't

Q. Is it a sin to not please people
A. who's lying to you?

I feel like there is alot of people who really, truly feel like they have to do everything for everyone to be in God's will. Some people including me have gotten to a place before that we focus so much on pleasing people that we look to them for aprroval for everything we do. (instead of God)

I have said this in previous posts but I will make this point again.

" Those who do not understand your dreams, will never understand the decisions you make "

With that said you can't count on people to love everything you do and be there with pom poms cheering you on everyday. So trust and put your faith in the one who birthed the dreams in you.

I Believe everything you are called to do, God has already giving you everything you need to fulfill those dreams. You just have to walk his path to discover the talents and the things you need to complete your destiny.

THINK ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

JESUS WAS PERFECT, RIGHT?

Of course he was, If you don't believe that then I am sure these posts has absolutely no meaning to you. But to the rest of us... think about that.

Jesus was perfect, and the perfect example of CHRISTianity.

The point you ask???

PEOPLE hated and still hate him. So if Jesus was perfect and completed his purpose with people hating him. How would we expect to please everyone.

Make sense.

His my thoughts at this point in the post. I believe to a few people this has spoke to you. And you are tired of becoming such a people pleaser that you have forgotten about pleasing God.

Your used to it. So how do you change from doing everything for everyone to doing what God calls you to do.

Its not easy, but

I believe there is actually a reward for pain.

" the reward of pain, is the willingness to change "

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think there is anything wrong with helping people, and making people happy. But there is a order of priorities and when you put people before God (thats wrong)

If you can't please everyone, be satisfied in pleasing God!

I feel like on this post there is alot more to say. I am wanted to do this one alittle different. I am going to stop this one here. Then I want to hear some feedback on how you feel about the people pleasing obsession in your opinion. Then I am going to post a 2nd updated post with more added.

I hope this post has helped someone tonight or whenever its read.

As always your prayers are much appreciated.

Blessings ;)

It's 12:30 a.m. (Thats early right?) Not tonight !

Ok here is what's going on....

I am lying in bed kinda early for me, I am usually a late nighter! Half asleep (tryin anyways) The Lord starts speaking in my spirit that I need to go ahead and post a new bulletin and blog!(TONIGHT)

I know I said my next one would be about spiritual muscles most likely. But the Lord has got me up for someone tonight MAYBE YOU!

If this in not for you please just keep in your prayers for whoever it is for tonight or whenever you read.

Before I start this post I wanted to say two things!

First being, thank you for all your prayers, I have literally been getting hundreds of emails of testimonies and how OUR (ours 2gether ;) online ministry has touch, and literaly saved lives. So I just want to thank all of you partnering with our hardcore christian group and chizel21 through prayers!

Second is actually that even though the Lord has gotten me up for someone, I am not sure what this word is going to be. So here is how I figure I am going to post this one.

I have my bible in front of me (perty cool one at that, it has stickers all over it ;) I am going to just read and write as it comes. So I am sure I will probaly be going many different directions and you already know I can't type lol. But here it goes.

I have turned to hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

The word I am feeling for someone right now is baggage and weights!

I feel like in life there is a race set before us to run ya know. We have a starting line when we were born and we have a goal and finish line.

It says to RUN the race with ENDURANCE!

Ok I get that, but what stops us from running?
what slows down our endurance?

BAGGAGE!!!

weights = baggage

Sin = type of weights ( do the math )

Guilt = type of weights

Think about running for a minute. Picture your self free just running with endurance and with out struggle.

Now add a backpack on you. Your still running but it kinda gets in the way. Add weights to your feet and and arms. Its gets harder and harder to run, so you just start walking. You become weak and tired. You get sick and weary.

THATS IT! SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET RID OF THERE BAGGAGE

There is TWO ways I believe you get weights and baggage

1. someone else puts weights on you
words of discouragement, verbal and physical abuse etc.

2. we have mistakes we are not willing to let go (GUILT)

I am telling you myspace friends, Guilt will Destroy your confidence, damage your relationships and keep you stuck in the past. Read the last post if your stuck in the past.

"Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

OK THE ? AND ANSWER

HOW DO I BECOME FREE TO RUN THE RACE WITHOUT BAGGAGE!

1. Understand the HEART of God

lots of people know John 3:16 but do you know what the next verse says

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

We need to understand that God is not a God of condemnation but of compasion!

I wish I could remember where its found and I'm sure I will after I am done writing. But there is another verse that says something like

Therefore there is no comdemnation for those who are in christ!

2. Ask for forgiveness and let go/ tear off that name tag someone else might have labeled you!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

On an ending not I want to say just a few last things!

1. remeber there will be crossroads in the race!

2. Be carefull for the non-runners and the casual runners that never intend the finish. YOU ARE A FINISHER!

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

I hope this helps someone. I know this might not be for everyone!

I do plan on still sharing about " A spiritual workout"

Maybe next time we'll see. Love ya

blessings, Ryan

Forgetting what is behind!!!

First off I want to say thank you for all of your prayers the past two weeks. The Lord as been working alot of things in my spirit. To let everyone know that has been praying, the Move went really well ;)

Todays post is pretty simple, But I believe if you take its message and really apply it into the way you think about the past. I know it will change your outlook about the your future.

The scripture that has been on my heart tonight comes from
Philipians 3:13-14

...Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

I'm sure alot of you have heard this passsage before and probaly a few messages from it. The message you probaly have heard is something like this.

Do not worry about the bad things in your past. Don't focus on the mistakes of the past! Just focus on what God is calling you to be in the future! Blah blah blah, stuff like that.

All that is true and I have applied that to my life and its wonderful and all.

But here is what God is speaking in me tonight. That there is more than just forgetting the bad things but the Good also.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes thats what I said ;)

Let me tell you a little story about me for those who don't know me.

About 3 years ago now, me and my parents owned a christian teen club here in Ga (studio 316) for about 2 1/2 years. We had live bands every friday night including some big names such as pillar, the benjamin gate, justifide etc. We ran about 300 teenagers every weekend. I led worship on saturday night teen church. I was able to lead over 100 people to the lord in the last few months it was open. Now before you think I am just tell this story to brag, let me finish this story (cuz im not ;) .

Soon after the 2 1/2 months it was opened my parents divorced, I lost my family and lost the ministry I felt God gave me. All in a matter of months and through the past 2 years I have been going through a "spiritual workout" ( I will be talking more about that in my next post)
I was held up by gun point by a drunk guy. I caught the kitchen on fire cooking fries, flooded the entire upstairs and broke all electricity upstairs by the toilet overflooding. I got arrested for racing my truck (when i wasn't racing) I went to court to fight it and lost my license for 6 months. Just one thing after another and about $5000 in debt.

I know if I asked everyone to post in this, everyone would have the own story like mine. I know this can relate somehow becuase I know God's people are facing attack.

Through all that now, I have focused on my future. Opening a new teen club with a new vision from God NOW! " A real world"
I have went from 5000 dollars in debt to debt free just this month.

Now I say all that to say what I am learning. All I was thinking about is how awesome the teen center used to be and How I want it again. I would think how unfair the past was. Thats both bad past and good!

HOW CAN YOU BE FOCUSED ON YOUR CALLING NOW IF YOU WANT YOUR PAST! (OR IF YOU JUST CAN'T LET IT GO)

The past is only to reflect on

EXAMPLE ;)

Lets say your driving your car. If your looking backwards trying to drive forward (you'll wreck) . You can use your rear view mirror to reflect on whats behind. But you are constantly driving foward!!!

It would be ashamed to be so caught up on yesterday the you can't live in what has planned for you.

It would be ashamed to die and never have lived!

My message today is simple!

PRESS FORWARD INTO YOUR CALLING, FORGET WHATS BEHIND YOU!

REMEMBER that those who dont understand your dreams and vision will never understand your decisions!!!

My advice to help you press forward is to Pray about your calling.

Write it down to were you can see it, pray over it.

" THE CLEARER YOUR VISION THE GREATER YOUR FAITH IS FOR IT"

Blessings, Ryan

p.s. Next post will most likely be about "a spiritual workout". Unless the Lord leads other wise. Please keep me in your prayers. ;)

Your dreams, goals, and vision!

I have been doing some reading and praying this week. Both the bible and just other books. I want to share 2 keys that has really hit home to me!

Note: I believe this is a word for a handfull of people that need to hear this right now! Unlike the past two posts that by response let me know spoke to hundreds. I believe this post is for a smaller portion that is ready to receive this! I will be posting more soon, I feel I have alot in my spirit right now so please Keep me in your prayers ;)

Key 1.

" Those without your dreams or goals may never understand your decisions "
Dr. Mike Murdoc

I have heard it said that a man can live months without food, days without water, minutes without air. But a man can not live one second without a purpose!

Without reason why are you here? What are wanting to do? What do you feel called to do?

If you are reading this then you are STILL ALIVE! If you are still alive its a for a purpose a reason. God has a plan for each one of you.

But just to warn you ahead of time. Everyone doesn't understand your dreams and your purpose. Therefore they wont understand all the desicions you make to pursue it!

I want to incourage you today or whenever you read this to pray that God would reveal to you your purpose.

Hope this verse is of some help ;)

" Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5,6

The lord says, " I will guide you along the BEST pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you"
psalms 32:8

key 2.

" The clearer your goal- The greater your faith "

Once you pray for God to reveal his purpose for you. Once you find your dream. In order to pursue it you need to remember it. Its so easy to put things on the backburner, DONT DO IT! PURSUE IT! hope this verse helps and I will end this post with it. Blessings, Ryan

" Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it WILL SURELY COME, IT WILL NOT TARRY."
Habakkuk 2:2,3

Love yourself!

"Do unto others as you would to yourself" right?

If you dont love yourself how can you love others???

In the words of a friend from washington
"you can't give healthy fruit unless your tree is healthy"

Here is a story I heard my pastor tell this sunday ;)
I can only remember it roughly but I hope you get the point.

There was a father and his young son who went camping outdoors in the mountains. They were climbing a mountain when the son slipped down the side of the hill and yelled "hey" loud for his father to hear him him. While yelling he heard an echo yelling back "hey" . Confused not knowing any better he yelled "who are you" back he heard "who are you" Frustrated the boy yelled " your stupid" ("your stupid") he heard. By this time his father was already back with him and the boy asked "who is that." The father said " Son, most people call that an echo but really thats about how life works! Then the father said " watch this" He yelled "Hey" ("hey") . Your awesome (" your awesome") The father explained what you say and do in life comes back to you. What you say to yourself controls what is said back to you!

I know I'm not the best story teller and I wish I could tell it better myself. The main point I am trying to make is to just start with yourself.

IF YOU DON'T READ ANYTHING ELSE ON HERE READ AND REMEMBER THIS!

If you look in the mirror and tell your self How much you hate yourself. How awful you are, how ugly you thing you are. God looks at it just like if you we telling your friend the same thing or anybody for that matter! It's a sin to Hate, that means you too!

Love yourself, Love what God made! You will find Peace, Joy and fullness of life when you learn to Love YOURSELF through God, love others AS YOU WOULD YOURSELF and love God for who he is!

Hope this helped someone ;)

P.s. If anyones cares to know. I am going to try to write a new bulletin every few days or weeks maybe depending on how the lord leads!

Blessings, Ryan (chizel21)

Smile ;)

For whoever needed to hear it today. " Everything is going to be ok"

John 16:33
"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Gen. 50:20
As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil

A word of advice!!!!!!!!

*** FIND THE LESSON IN EVERYTHING YOU GO THROUGH ***
~~~~ SO YOU DONT HAVE TO GO THROUGHT IT AGAIN~~~~
James 1: 2-4
Faith and Endurance
Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy.For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.
This is what God is saying to me strongly tonight!
~~*~~ If you can't praise God throught trials, Its not worth much! ~~*~~
